How has a having a netbook helped my learning? It helps me get ideas from the web and it helps me learn about more stuff I didn't even know about.

Has having a netbook helped you communicate with your teacher? Yes because it helps me and my teacher to learn off the internet and it is easier for me and my teacher to learn.

what have you learnt online?I have learnt online how to make my blog,and leave comments on other peoples blog.

What have you learnt from your friend?I have learnt how to make presentation on google document.

Have you helped other people this year?Yes i helped my friend to fix her problem on her netbook.

How has digital learning helped your learning?It helped me to learn about  the internet and I can make my own blog post and post it on my blog.

I have the best Friend in the world

I have the best Friend in the world!!

One sunny day my best friend and I named Edwina were Skipping on the footpath and we saw this little girl crying near the river.

Edwina walked towards her and asked her if she was ok.The Little girl turned around and her ties were running down fast.She had long grey ripped pants a red dirty T-Shirt and wholly shoes her face was Scratched.

I run to the other side of the road because she looked Frightening.Edwina was not scared she stood there and asked her what happened.

Edwina shouted My name and told me to go to her.”Laite,Laite this girl told me that her friends hated her because she was frightening and so they bullied her hit her and now she end up like this.Edwina told me that she should be our new Friend and so on.We took the little

girl to my house and but her into some warm clothes and we made a cup of chocolate to make her welcome.

I like my Friend Edwina she stood up for the Poor Girl.

Loopy person

On Monday the whole class had to make a loopy person.
Me and Puawai first had to measure ourselfs first.
We had to measure our Legs,foot,arm,chest,spine,tummy and neck. After that we had to half it and when we finish halfing it then we had to move on to when we had to cut out our half.Next we had to colour our half after that we had to give our loopy person to Mrs Tofa and she has to staple it together then I had to gun staple it on the wall and that is how I made my Loopy person.

Room7 Pledge

Following our 'Tread Lightly Caravan' experience the students of Room 7 decided to make a pledge. Change begins with one step in the right direction......we will all make a difference to save our planet Earth.

The Visit to the Tread Lightly Caravan.

Orientation: who, what, activity like where? Room 7 Mrs George Kate Kelly,Miss Atuahiva. Knowledge in the school hall and the Tread Lightly Caravan.

First..... We had to get in our groups and there was 6 groups. The Tutor was Miss Atuahiva, Ms Kelly, Ms Kate and Mrs George.

Then.....We had to get on our first activity and I was with Apii, Brandon, Kerisimasi’s team. Our first activity was the Geckos and Vine.The Geckos and Vine game was fun. It was exactly the same as snakes and ladders.

Next..... We finished our game and we had to move on to our next activity. It was called the Magnified Insects. We had to go on our last rotation and the game was called the Pedal power.

Finally..... The bell rang and we all had to stop so we went and said thank you to Kate and Kelly. I enjoyed going through the rotation. 

I thought that........the Insects were still alive. I also thought that the Geckos and Vines were snakes and ladders. I loved the Tread Lightly Caravan because it was fun. The only  thing it didn't like about it was the fact that I wasn’t able to make the light turn on.

White Sunday at Church

The First thing I saw was a lovely bright shiny Sun way out in the blue bright sky.

On Sunday our church went to white Sunday and we also had a feed I was so brave I stood up there and say my bet.After our White Sunday we had a delicious feed in the hall I was really Hungry all that time Yum Yum.

At Glenbrae School we have revisited our School Treaty and as part of this exercise all classes are working on 'a book about hands'. We are looking at positive ways in which hands can be used. We are all aspiring to make our school a 'safe and happy learning community. Please take the time to check out my story.

Eating with healthy food for your body is good and you can use your hand for getting it and putting it in your mouth.	*
Riding a bike is fun and you can also use your hands to use the brakes and control it.	*

Hi My name is Laite and I am in room 7 at Glenbrae School and in ten years I will make my dream  come true and be a Singer.

Swimming With the Instructors

Today Room 7 marched down to the swimming pool after we came out of the life caravan. We had to line up next to the side of the pool and the Instructors called us two by two and they had to chose our group there was group two group three and I was in group three with jezebel.

Today Room 7 marched down to the life caravan at 9.33 our helpers were miss Matatuariki,Mrs George and Miss Neigbours and Jenny and I learnt there that Drugs and smoking and drinking are very bad for your lungs. I love going to the Caravan
